Actuator, Stabilizer Bar: Installation

WARNING:

The disconnecting stabilizer bar unit (3) is not serviced separately from the bar (4). Do not disassemble this unit from the stabilizer bar.

NOTE:

The Final Drive Control Module (FDCM) is integrated with the front stabilizer bar actuator.

  1. Install the actuator (1) to the disconnecting unit (3) and tighten the bolts (2) to the proper torque specifications. Refer to FRONT, LINK AND COIL, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
    NOTE:

    The seal must be clean and intact in the electrical connector when reconnecting to the actuator (1).

  2. Reconnect the electronic actuator electrical connector for the disconnecting stabilizer bar.
  3. Remove the supports and lower the vehicle.
  4. To enable a new Final Drive Control Module (FDCM)/Disconnecting Stabilizer Bar road test the vehicle until all indicator lamps stop flashing, then verify proper operation of four wheel drive and disconnecting stabilizer bar functions by actuating them electrically.
