Diagnostic Test

  1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION 
    1. With the scan tool, record and erase the DTC's.
    2. Operate the Driver Door Lock Switch in all positions several times.
    3. Cycle the ignition from on to off.
    4. Turn the ignition on.
    5. With the scan tool, read the DTC's.

      Does the scan tool display B1800-2A-DRIVER DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK SWITCH - SIGNAL STUCK IN RANGE?

      Yes 

      • Go To  2.

      No 

      • The conditions that caused this code to set are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors.
      • Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
  2. DOOR LOCK SWITCH 
    1. Check the switch for any objects that could cause a sticking condition.

      Was anything found that could cause a sticking condition?

      Yes 

      • Clean or remove the object as necessary.
      • Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
