Section 1299 (Rear Axle - 292 Aa (11 1/2) - 2500 Hd & 3500 Hd): Removal: Removal

- If equipped, remove the air springs. Refer to SPRING(S), REMOVAL .
- With vehicle in neutral, position vehicle on hoist.
- Position a lift under axle and secure lift to the axle.
- Remove all brake components.
- Remove the propeller shaft (Refer to PROPELLER SHAFT - 2500 HD & 3500 HD ).
- Remove axle vent hose.
- Remove shock absorbers (3) from axle (2).
- Remove U-bolts (4) from axle.
- Remove axle from the vehicle.
