WARNING:
Hot, pressurized coolant can cause injury by scalding. Cooling system must be partially drained before removing the coolant temperature sensor.
- Partially drain the cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Remove the engine trim cover.
- Remove the upper EGR tube (2). Refer to TUBE, EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION (EGR), CROSSOVER, REMOVAL .
- Remove heat shield.
- Disconnect the electrical connector (2) from the ETC sensor (3).
- Remove the ETC sensor from the cylinder head.
