3500 - 5500 Cab Chassis

Fig 1: Identifying Crossmember With Bolts & Nuts

Install the crossmember (2), the bolts (1) and the nuts (3). Tighten the nuts to 127 N.m (94 ft. lbs.).

Remove the transmission support and install the transmission mount nuts (3).
Tighten the nuts (3) to 61 N.m (45 ft. lbs.).

Install the transfer case skid plate (2), if equipped. Refer to PLATE, SKID, TRANSFER CASE, INSTALLATION .
