The purpose of the diagnostic is to check the Shift Solenoid 1 circuit for electrical failures by continuously monitoring the solenoid driver output circuit for high or low voltage, or an open circuit. The Shift Solenoid 1 is only used to enable a fixed gear limp-in mode.
