Section 1271 (Charging (Service Information) 2500 Hd & 3500 Hd): Description: Description

The charging system consists of:
- Generator
- Electronic Voltage Regulator (EVR) circuitry within the Powertrain Control Module (PCM)
- Ignition switch
- Battery (refer to BATTERY SYSTEM - SERVICE INFORMATION - 2500 HD & 3500 HD )
- Battery temperature sensor
- Check Gauges Lamp (if equipped)
- Voltmeter (refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL and GAUGE PACK, INSTRUMENT CLUSTER for information)
- Wiring harness and connections (refer to appropriate SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS article )
