Solenoid, Variable Valve Timing (VVTS), Exhaust: Removal: Removal

Remove intake manifold. Refer to MANIFOLD, INTAKE, REMOVAL, 5.7L .
Disconnect VVTS electrical connector (2).
Remove VVTS fastener (1).

NOTE:
To remove the VVTS, the engine must be at room temperature.
Rotate and pull the VVTS out.
