1500 Light Duty

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  2. Remove the transfer case skid plate (4) and crossmember (2), if equipped. Refer to PLATE, SKID, TRANSFER CASE, REMOVAL .

  3. Remove the nuts (3) fastening the transmission mount (1) to the transmission crossmember (2).

  4. Support the transmission with a transmission jack or suitable lifting device.
  5. Remove the four bolts (1) and remove the transmission crossmember (2).
