Diagnostic Test

CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC

Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, read DTCs and record on the repair order.
Monitor the scan tool for at least two minutes.
Is the DTC active or pending?

Yes
- Perform the diagnostic procedure for U0101 - LOST COMMUNICATION WITH TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE (TCM). Refer to U0101-00-LOST COMMUNICATION WITH TCM .
No
- Perform the Stored Lost Communication DTCs diagnostic procedure. Refer to STORED LOST COMMUNICATION DTCS .
