Diagnostic Test

  1. ACTIVE DTC 
    NOTE:

    If there are any Reductant Temperature DTCs present, perform the Diagnostics for those DTCs before continuing with this one.

    NOTE:

    If there are any other Fuel Temperature Sensor DTCs present, perform the Diagnostics for those DTCs before continuing with this one.

    1. Turn the ignition on.
    2. With the scan tool, record all Freeze frame data.
    3. With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
    4. Turn the ignition off for 75 seconds.
    5. Start the engine. It may be necessary to test drive the vehicle.
    6. With the scan tool, read DTCs.

      Did the DTC reset?

      Yes 

      • Go To  2

      No 

      • Perform the INTERMITTENT CONDITION diagnostic procedure. Refer to INTERMITTENT DTC .
  2. CHECK THE FUEL TEMPERATURE SENSOR 
    1. Turn the ignition off.
    2. Disconnect the Fuel Temperature Sensor harness connector.
    3. Turn the ignition on.
    4. While monitoring the scan tool, connect a jumper between the (K159) Sensor Return circuit and the (K156) Fuel Temperature Signal circuit at the Fuel Temperature Sensor harness connector.

      Did the P0182 DTC set?

      Yes 

      No
