Standard Procedure - Fluid Drain And Refill

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE - HOISTING
  2. Position drain pan under transfer case.
  3. Remove the transfer case fill plug (2).
  4. Remove the transfer case drain plug (1) and drain the transfer case fluid.
  5. Install drain plug (1) and tighten to the proper. TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS 
  6. Remove drain pan.
  7. Fill transfer case to bottom edge of fill plug opening with the correct fluid for the application. Refer to CAPACITIES AND RECOMMENDED FLUIDS, SPECIFICATIONS .
  8. Install and tighten fill plug (2) and tighten to the proper. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  9. Wipe any excess fluid that may have spilled onto the exhaust.
  10. Lower vehicle.
