Sensor, Coolant Temperature: Removal: 3.0L

WARNING:

Hot, pressurized coolant can cause injury by scalding. Cooling system must be partially drained before removing the coolant temperature sensor.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

  2. Remove the engine cover (1).
  3. Partially drain the cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  4. Position the upper radiator hose out of the way for access to the coolant temperature sensor.

  5. Disconnect the coolant temperature sensor wire harness connector (1).

  6. Remove the coolant temperature sensor (1) from the water pump housing.
