Diagnostic Test

  1. CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC 
    1. Turn the ignition on.
    2. Turn the Right Turn Lamps on.
    3. With the scan tool, read DTCs

      Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?

      Yes 

      • Go To  2

      No 

      • Test complete. The condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals and correct pin tension.
      • Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
  2. RIGHT REAR LAMP ASSEMBLY 
    1. Turn the Right Turn Lamps off.
    2. Turn the ignition off.
    3. Disconnect the Right Rear Lamp Assembly harness connector.
    4. Turn the ignition on.
    5. Turn the Right Turn Lamps on.
    6. With the scan tool, read DTCs

      Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?

      Yes 

      • Go To  3

      No 

      • Replace the Right Rear Lamp Assembly in accordance with the Service Information.
      • Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
  3. CHECK THE (L562) RIGHT REAR LIGHTING FAULT SENSE CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO GROUND 
    1. Turn the Right Turn Lamps off.
    2. Turn the ignition off.
    3. Disconnect the BCM C6/F harness connector.
    4. Check for continuity between ground and the (L562) Right Rear Lighting Fault Sense circuit at the Right Rear Lamp Assembly harness connector.

      Is there continuity between ground and the (L562) Right Rear Lighting Fault Sense circuit?

      Yes 

      • Repair the (L562) Right Rear Lighting Fault Sense circuit for a short to ground.
      • Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
