Diagnostic Test

OTHER RELATED DTCS
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, read DTCs.
  Were there any Ambient Temperature, MAP, EGR, EGR Airflow, VGT, or other Turbo related DTCs present?
  
  Yes
  - Perform the diagnostics for those DTCs before proceeding with this diagnostic tree.
  - Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST - 6.7L. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST - 6.7L .
  No
  - Go To 2
NO START
1. Attempt to start the engine.
  Did the engine start and run?
  
  Yes
  - Go To 5
  No
  - Go To 3
CHECK FOR AFTERMARKET FUEL FILTER
1. Check the engine-mounted Fuel Filter for an aftermarket brand.
  Is the Fuel Filter an aftermarket brand?
  
  Yes
  - Go To 4
  No
  - Go To 5
AFTERMARKET FUEL FILTER
1. Replace the Fuel Filter using OEM.
2. With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
3. Turn the ignition off for 75 seconds.
4. Start the vehicle. It may be necessary to drive vehicle to reset DTC.
5. With the scan tool, read DTCs.
  Did the DTC reset?
  
  Yes
  - Go To 5
  No
  - Repair is complete. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST - 6.7L . .
CHECK FOR EXHAUST BLOCKAGE
1. Check the exhaust for blockage.
  Was there blockage present in the exhaust?
  
  Yes
  - Repair the exhaust for blockage as needed.
  - Perform the DIESEL AFTERTREATMENT VALIDATION - 6.7L procedure. Refer to DIESEL AFTERTREATMENT VALIDATION- 6.7L .
  No
  - Replace the Turbocharger in accordance with the service information. Refer to TURBOCHARGER .
