Diagnostic Test

  1. ACTIVE DTC 
    1. Turn the ignition on.
    2. With the scan tool, View DTCs.

      Is the DTC active?

      Yes 

      • Go To  2

      No 

  2. CHECK FOR THE (F203) SCR RELAY 1 HEATER SUPPLY CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE 
    1. Turn the ignition off.
    2. Remove the F19 30A Fuse located in the PDC.
    3. Disconnect the DEF Dosing Control Unit C2 harness connector.
    4. Turn the ignition on.
    5. Measure the voltage on the (F203) SCR Module Heater Supply circuit at the DEF Dosing Control Unit harness connector.

      Is there voltage present?

      Yes 

      • Go To  3

      No 

      • Replace the DEF Dosing Control Unit in accordance with the service information.
      • Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST - 6.7L. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST - 6.7L .
  3. CHECK FOR THE (F203) SCR RELAY 1 HEATER SUPPLY CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE 
    1. Turn the ignition off.
    2. Disconnect the PDC C5 harness connector.
    3. Turn the ignition on.
    4. Measure the voltage on the (F203) SCR Module Heater Supply circuit at the PDC C5 harness connector (PDC side).

      Is there voltage present?

      Yes 

      • Replace the Power Distribution Center in accordance with the service information.
      • Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST - 6.7L. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST - 6.7L .
