  5. Install the four fasteners (1) securing the radio (2) to the instrument panel. Tighten the fasteners securely.
  6. Install the instrument panel center bezel. Refer to BEZEL, INSTRUMENT PANEL, CENTER, INSTALLATION .
  7. Connect the negative battery cable.
  8. Turn the ignition to the ON position for two minutes. During this cycle you may notice the RRM screen wallpaper (background of display image) to display non-vehicle specific images, a radio locked screen, or you may get a possible pending EQ mismatch fault. These will be corrected on the 2nd ignition cycle.
  9. Allow the RRM to go fully asleep (CAN bus off), then perform a 2nd ignition cycle.
    NOTE:

Uconnect Access Applications and WiFi hotspot will be automatically updated in the replacement RRM through the RRM's embedded cellular phone based on the customers present subscription status. This update process may take up to an hour, depending upon the number of apps and adequate cellular services accessibility. The dealer is not expected to perform this process or to oversee it, but may need to explain to the vehicle owner or operator that some features and applications may not be fully restored and overall system response may be slowed until the process has completed.

    NOTE:

For RA3 RRM only: If the RRM has had the Navigation feature activated, any factory replacement RRM for the same vehicle will be provided with the Navigation system already activated. For more information, refer to DESCRIPTION .
