Muffler, Exhaust: Removal: 5.7L

- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Saturate the clamp nuts with heat valve lubricant and allow 5 minutes for penetration.
- Remove the tailpipe from the muffler. Refer to TAILPIPE, EXHAUST, REMOVAL .
- Disengage the muffler from the hanger isolators (2, 3).
- Loosen band clamp nut (1) from the exhaust extension pipe and remove the muffler from the extension pipe.
