Pump, Water: Installation: 6.4L

  1. Clean mating surfaces and install water pump. Tighten mounting bolts in sequence to Specifications. Refer to SPECIFICATIONS .
  2. Install belt tensioner assembly (14). Refer to TENSIONER, BELT, INSTALLATION .

  3. Install the lower radiator hose (5).
  4. Install the lower bypass hose (3).

  5. Install the supply line bracket (1).
  6. Connect the temperature sensor electrical connector (2).
  7. Install the supply line (3).

  8. Install upper bypass tube (3).
  9. Install the EGR cooler hose (2).

  10. Install the upper radiator hose (4) to the thermostat housing (1).
  11. Install cooling fan assembly. Refer to FAN, COOLING, ELECTRIC, INSTALLATION FAN, COOLING, VISCOUS, INSTALLATION .
  12. Install the accessory drive belt. Refer to BELT, SERPENTINE, INSTALLATION .
  13. If removed, install the secondary generator. Refer to GENERATOR, INSTALLATION .

  14. Install the Intake manifold. Refer to MANIFOLD, INTAKE, INSTALLATION, 6.4L .
  15. Connect negative battery cable.
  16. Check cooling system for leaks. Refer to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING .
