Disconnect and isolate both of the battery negative cables.
Drain the cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
Unscrew the power cord retaining cap (1) and disconnect cord from heater element.

Using a suitable size socket, loosen and remove the block heater (1).
