Diagnostic Test

  1. ACTIVE DTC 
    NOTE:

    If there are any Ambient Air Temperature DTCs present (in the PCM OR Body Control Module), perform the Diagnostics for those DTCs before continuing with this one.

    NOTE:

    If DTCs P00EA or P00EB are present, perform the Diagnostics for those DTCs before continuing with this one.

    1. Turn the ignition on.
    2. With the scan tool, record all Freeze frame data.
    3. With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
    4. Turn the ignition off for 75 seconds.
    5. Turn the ignition on.
    6. With the scan tool, read DTCs.

      Did the DTC reset?

      Yes 

      • Go To  2

      No 

      • Perform to the INTERMITTENT CONDITION diagnostic procedure. Refer to INTERMITTENT DTC .
  2. CHECK THE IAT SENSOR 3 
    1. Turn the ignition off.
    2. Disconnect the IAT Sensor 3 harness connector.
    3. Turn the ignition on.
    4. While monitoring the scan tool, connect a jumper between the (K64) Return circuit and the (K69) IAT 3 Signal circuit at the IAT Sensor 3 harness connector.

      Did the P00EB DTC set?

      Yes 

      • Replace the Intake Air Temperature Sensor 3 in accordance with the service information.
      • Perform the PCM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to PCM VERIFICATION TEST .
