Solenoid, Evaporative Emissions Purge: Removal: 5.7L

The duty cycle EVAP canister purge solenoid is located in the engine compartment mounted on the right side of the intake manifold.

Remove the engine cover. Refer to COVER, ENGINE, REMOVAL, 5.7L .

Carefully pull the solenoid assembly straight out from the tongue-type bracket (3) without bending the two vapor lines.
Disconnect the wire harness connector (2) from the solenoid.
Disconnect vapor line quick-connect fitting (1) from the solenoid.
Disconnect the vacuum line (4) near the throttle body.
