Sensor, Fuel Pressure: Removal: Removal

  1. Disconnect both negative battery cables.
  2. Remove the oil dipstick (2).
  3. Remove bolts (1) and the engine cover (2).

  4. Cut the cable tie and position aside the bulk head connector (1).
  5. If equipped, remove the transmission dipstick (3).

  6. Disconnect the exhaust pressure sensor wire harness connector (2).
  7. Disconnect the EGR cooler bypass valve wire harness connector (1).

  8. Disconnect the crankcase pressure sensor 2 wire harness connector (1).

  9. Disconnect crankcase pressure sensor 1 wire harness connectors (7).

  10. Disconnect both fuel injector harness connectors (1).

  11. Remove the CCV oil drains hoses (3) from cylinder head cover.

  12. Remove the fuel tube silencer (1).

  13. Remove two bolts (4) and No. 6 fuel tube shield (5) at rear of cylinder head.
  14. Remove cylinder No. 5 and No. 6 fuel lines (3 and 6).

  15. Disconnect the fuel pressure sensor wire harness connector (2).

    NOTE:

    Do not use an impact socket, the socket wall is too thick and will not work.

  16. Using a 27 mm thin walled socket (3), remove fuel pressure sensor (2).
