Rear - Light Duty

- Install caliper (6) to the caliper adapter (1).
- Coat the caliper mounting slide pin bolts (3) with silicone grease and install. For Cab Chassis tighten to 30 N.m (22 ft. lbs.). For 4500, 5500 series tighten to 133 N.m (98 ft. lbs.).CAUTION:
Verify that the brake hose is not twisted or kinked before tightening the fitting bolt.
NOTE:Install a new copper washers on the banjo bolt when installing
- Install the brake hose (4) to the caliper (6) with new copper washers and tighten fitting bolt to TORQUE .
- Remove the prop rod from the brake pedal.
- Bleed the area of repair for the brake system. If a proper pedal is not felt during bleeding an area of repair then a base bleed system must be performed. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Install the wheel and tire assemblies Refer to SPECIFICATIONS .
- Remove the supports and lower the vehicle.
- Verify a firm pedal before moving the vehicle.
