Theory Of Operation

The purpose of the diagnostic is to check the validity of the selected driving position. The driving position is received from two different CAN BUS signals. If both signals are invalid because of any of the monitored CAN failures (time-out, checksum, alive counter, signal invalid) this fault is set to indicate that the driving position can not be determined.
