Diagnostic Test

CHECK FOR BCM CAN BUS DTCS
1. With the scan tool, read BCM DTCs.
  Are any BCM CAN BUS DTCs present?
  
  Yes
  - Refer to the BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) - DIAGNOSTIC CODE INDEX - 1500 article and perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure. Perform the diagnostic procedure for DTC U0001-CAN C BUS first.
  - Perform the TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Go To 2
CHECK FOR TRANSMISSION DTCS
1. With the scan tool, read transmission DTCs.
  Are any transmission DTCs present?
  
  Yes
  - Refer to DIAGNOSTIC CODE INDEX - 8HP45 AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION - 1500 article and perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure.
  - Perform the TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Using the schematics as a guide, check the Transmission Control Module A (TCMA) terminals for corrosion, damage or terminal push out. Pay particular attention to all power and ground circuits. If no problems are found, replace and program the TCMA in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to VALVE BODY, REMOVAL .
  - Perform the TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST .
