Diagnostic Test

- CHECK FOR BCM CAN BUS DTCS
- With the scan tool, read BCM DTCs.
Are any BCM CAN BUS DTCs present?
Yes
- Refer to the BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) - DIAGNOSTIC CODE INDEX - 1500 article and perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure. Perform the diagnostic procedure for DTC U0001-CAN C BUS first.
- Perform the TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Go To 2
- With the scan tool, read BCM DTCs.
- CHECK IF ENGINE DTCS ARE PRESENT
- With the scan tool, read engine DTCs.
Are any engine DTCs present?
Yes
- Perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure in accordance with the Service Information.
- Perform the TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Using the schematics as a guide, check the Transmission Control Module Assembly (TCMA) terminals for corrosion, damage, and pushed out terminals. Pay particular attention to the power and ground circuits. If no problems are found, replace and program the TCMA in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to VALVE BODY, REMOVAL .
- Perform the TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST .
- With the scan tool, read engine DTCs.
