Set Condition

Pressure Regulator: A failure is detected if one of the following conditions occurs:
- A short to battery failure is detected if the ASIC indicates a short to battery failure or the PWM feedback signal at the output stage is 0%.
- An open circuit or short to ground failure is detected if the ASIC indicates a short to ground or open circuit failure or the PWM feedback signal at the output stage is 100%.
- An open circuit failure is detected if the ASIC indicates an open circuit failure in reaction to the output stage being switch off after an open circuit or short to ground failure detection.
- A short to ground failure is detected if the ASIC indicates a short to ground failure in reaction to the output stage being switch off after an open circuit or short to ground failure detection.
- A bypass to ground failure is detected if the ASIC indicates a bypass to ground failure.
- A current too low failure is detected if the calculated pressure regulator current is less than a calibrated value.
- A current too high failure is detected if the calculated pressure regulator current is greater than a calibrated value.
- A SPI communication failure in the SPI communication between the CPU and the ASIC is detected based upon the validity of the check-byte, the timing and the feedback signal of the message.
Solenoids: A failure is detected if one of the following conditions occurs:
- A short to battery failure is detected if the voltage of the output signal during PWM duty phase is greater than a calibrated value.
- An open circuit failure is detected if the voltage of the output signal during PWM duty or no duty phase is in an invalid range.
- A short to ground failure is detected if the voltage of the output signal during PWM duty or no duty phase is less than a calibrated value.
- A short to ground or open circuit failure is detected if the commanded duty cycle for the solenoid is 100% and the ASIC indicates the output stage is switched off.
