Theory Of Operation

This diagnostic monitors the Input (Turbine) Speed Sensor signal and engine speed signal via CAN in order to detect conditions that could indicate a transmission that is slipping or does not engage a gear properly. This diagnostic monitors for these conditions while the transmission is in a fixed gear and during shift events. Under certain conditions, an Engine mechanical problem can cause this DTC to set.
