Set Condition

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2014 RAM 1500. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The Particulate Matter Sensor reports to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) that the difference between the sensor temperature and the modeled exhaust gas temperature is greater than a calibrated threshold or less than a calibrated threshold. If the PCM detects that the failure is present for 5.0 seconds, it will illuminate the Malfunction Illumination Lamp (MIL) and set the DTC. This is a two Trip Fault.
