Diagnostic Test

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2014 RAM 1500. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. DTC IS ACTIVE
    1. Ignition on, engine not running.
    2. With the scan tool, erase DTCs in the PCM.
    3. Monitor the scan tool for at least two minutes.
    4. Cycle the ignition key off and on several times, leaving the ignition on for at least 10 seconds at a time.
    5. With the scan tool, select View DTCs.

Is the status Active for this DTC?

      Yes

      • Go To  2

      No

      • Perform the INTERMITTENT CONDITION diagnostic procedure. Refer to INTERMITTENT DTC .
  2. MAF/INTAKE AIR SENSOR
    1. With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
    2. Turn the ignition off.
    3. Disconnect the MAF/Intake Air Sensor harness connector.
    4. Turn the ignition on.
    5. With the scan tool, select View DTCs.
      NOTE:

The scan tool should display a P0113-Intake Air Temperature Sensor High DTC as active or pending with the connector disconnected.

Does the scan tool display the DTC as described above?

      Yes

      • Replace the Mass Air Flow/Intake Air Sensor in accordance with the service information.
      • Perform the PCM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to PCM VERIFICATION TEST .
