Standard Procedure - Fluid Drain And Refill

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE - HOISTING .
  2. Position drain pan under transfer case.
  3. Remove the transfer case fill plug (2).
  4. Remove the transfer case drain plug (1) and drain the transfer case fluid.
  5. Install the transfer case drain plug (1) and tighten to the proper. SPECIFICATIONS .
  6. Remove drain pan.
  7. Fill transfer case to bottom edge of fill plug opening with the correct fluid for the application. Refer to CAPACITIES AND RECOMMENDED FLUIDS, SPECIFICATIONS .
  8. Install the transfer case fill plug (2) and tighten to the proper SPECIFICATIONS .
  9. Wipe any excess fluid that may have spilled onto the exhaust.
  10. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
