Diagnostic Test

- TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
- Cycle the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, record and erase the DTCs.
- Block the Light Sensor in the Interior Rearview Mirror.
- Shift the transmission to Drive (engine not running).
- Wait two minutes.
- With the scan tool, read the active DTCs.
Does the scan tool display; B1F05-13-ELECTROCHROMATIC MIRROR CONTROL CIRCUIT - CIRCUIT OPEN as active?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals and correct pin tension.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- (P135) DRIVER AUTO DAY/NIGHT MIRROR SIGNAL OR (P136) RETURN CIRCUIT OPEN

- Cycle the ignition off.
- Disconnect the Driver Outside Rearview Mirror (C1) harness connector.
- Measure the resistance between the (P135) Driver Auto Day/Night Mirror Signal circuit and the (P136) Driver Auto Day/Night Mirror Return circuit.NOTE:
The resistance should clock up from approximately 25.0 Ohms to approximately 60.0 Ohms in about 10 seconds.
Did the resistance clock up and stay under 100.0 Ohms?
Yes
- Replace the Driver Door Module in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, DOOR, REMOVAL .
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
No
- Repair the open in the (P135) Driver Auto Day/Night Mirror Signal or the (P136) Return circuit. If the harness appears good, replace the Mirror in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MIRROR, OUTSIDE REARVIEW, REMOVAL .
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
