Insulator, Engine Mount, Front: Removal: Removal: 2WD

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
  2. Raise the vehicle.
    NOTE:

    Left side shown in illustration. Right side similar.

    NOTE:

    Loosening of both front engine mount through bolts (5) will be required for lifting of the engine.

  3. Remove the engine mount heat shield nuts (2).
  4. Remove the heat shield (3) from the engine mount through bolts (5).
  5. Loosen the nut (4) from engine mount through bolts.
  6. Using a suitable jack. Lift the engine off the through bolts.

  7. Remove the bolts (2) that secure the engine mount (1) to the engine block.
  8. Remove insulator from engine.
