Left Fuel Rail

WARNING:

No sparks, open flames or smoking. Risk of poisoning from inhaling and swallowing fuel. Risk of injury to eyes and skin from contact with fuel. Pour fuels only into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the intake manifold. Refer to MANIFOLD, INTAKE, REMOVAL .
  3. Disconnect the fuel pressure solenoid wire harness connector (1).
  4. Disconnect the fuel rail return line (2) and position aside.
  5. Remove the left bank high pressure fuel tubes. Refer to TUBE(S), FUEL, REMOVAL .

  6. Remove bolts (2) and the left fuel rail (1).
