Section 536 (Engine Cooling System - 1500): Engine: Thermostat: Installation: 3.0L

Install a new O-ring seal (1) onto the thermostat housing (2).

Position thermostat housing (2) onto the water pump.
Install two thermostat housing bolts (1). Tighten bolts to 11 N.m (97 in. lbs.).
Install upper radiator hose on thermostat housing (2).
Fill cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .

Connect negative battery cable to battery.
Start and warm the engine. Check for leaks.
Install the engine cover (1).
