LH Top Pad

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the A-pillar trim. Refer to PANEL, A-PILLAR TRIM, REMOVAL .
  3. Remove the defroster grille. Refer to GRILLE, DEFROSTER, REMOVAL .
  4. Remove the center stack bezel hood and the center stack bezel. Refer to BEZEL, INSTRUMENT PANEL, CENTER, REMOVAL .
  5. Remove the floor console. Refer to CONSOLE, CENTER, REMOVAL .
  6. Remove the lower steering column opening trim panel. Refer to COVER, STEERING COLUMN OPENING, REMOVAL .
  7. Remove the outlet vent. Refer to OUTLET, AIR, REMOVAL .
  8. Remove the two fasteners located under the center stack bezel hood securing the top pad to the base panel.
  9. Remove the two fasteners (1) located near the speaker.

  10. Remove the instrument cluster. Refer to REMOVAL .
  11. Remove the two fasteners (1) located above the instrument cluster cavity.

  12. Remove and disconnect the trunk release switch (1).
  13. Remove the two fasteners (2) below the vent and trunk release switch.
  14. Grasp the LH top pad up near the defroster duct and pull up and rearward to disengage the retaining clips.
    CAUTION:

    The Instrument Panel Top pad may be hard to unsnap from the instrument panel. Be sure not to mar, scuff, or damage the instrument panel pad.

  15. Remove the LH top pad from the vehicle.
