Bezel, Instrument Cluster: Removal: Removal

NOTE:

The gap hider on the upper shroud is attached to the instrument cluster (1) by four retaining tabs along the top and two along the sides (one each side). These tabs can be easily released by hand but is recommended to remove/install as an assembly. Do not use a tool that could damage the gap hider.

  1. Remove the lower steering column shroud. Refer to SHROUD, STEERING COLUMN, LOWER, REMOVAL .
  2. Pull rearward to disengage the retaining clips and remove the instrument cluster trim bezel/upper steering column shroud (1).
    NOTE:

    To remove the instrument cluster hood on Avenger models continue -

  3. Remove the upper (1) and lower center bezels,

    Refer to BEZEL, INSTRUMENT PANEL, CENTER, REMOVAL .

  4. Remove the fastener (2) from within the center opening, securing the inner lower corner of the instrument cluster hood (1).

  5. Use a trim stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) or equivalent and pull rearward to disengage the retaining clips and remove the instrument cluster hood (1).
