Diagnostic Test
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2013 RAM 3500 HD and 2013 RAM 2500 HD. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- CHECK DTCS
- With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Are any TCM Power Control Circuit or TCM Power Input DTCs present?
Yes
- Perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure.
No
- Go To 2
- With the scan tool, read DTCs.
- CHECK IF DTC P0750 IS PRESENT
- Ignition ON, Engine Not Running.
- With the scan tool, erase all Transmission DTCs.
- Turn the ignition OFF.
- Remove the Starter Relay from the PDC.CAUTION:
Removal of the Starter Relay will prevent the vehicle from being started in gear.
WARNING:The Starter Relay must be removed. Failure to do so can result in possible serious or fatal injury.
- Install the Transmission Simulator (special tool #8333B, Simulator, Transmission).
- Ignition ON, Engine Not Running.
- With the scan tool, actuate the L/R Solenoid.
- Monitor the L/R Solenoid LED on the Transmission Simulator.
Did the L/R Solenoid LED on the Transmission Simulator blink on and off?
Yes
