Diagnostic Test

- CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals, and correct pin tension.
- SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY (FLOOR SHIFT) / AUTOSTICK (ERS) SWITCH (COLUMN SHIFT)
- Turn the ignition off.
- Connect a fused jumper wire between the (T5) AutoStick Upshift Signal circuit and the (Z65) Ground circuit in the Shift Lever Assembly / AutoStick (ERS) Switch harness connector.
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?
Yes
- Go To 3
No
- Replace the Shift Lever Assembly (Floor Shift) / AutoStick® (ERS) Switch (Column Shift) in accordance with the Service Information.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- (T5) AUTOSTICK UPSHIFT SIGNAL CIRCUIT OPEN
- Turn the ignition off.
- Disconnect the BCM G harness connector.
- Measure the resistance of the (T5) AutoStick Upshift Signal circuit.
Is the resistance below 5.0 Ohms?
Yes
- Go To 4
No
- Repair the open in the (T5) AutoStick Upshift Signal circuit.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- (Z65) GROUND CIRCUIT OPEN
- Measure the resistance of the (Z65) Ground circuit.
Is the resistance below 5.0 Ohms?
Yes
- Replace the Body Control Module in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, BODY CONTROL, REMOVAL .
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
No
- Repair the open in the (Z65) Ground Switch MUX Return circuit.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Measure the resistance of the (Z65) Ground circuit.
