For Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) powered vehicles:

CAUTION:

The use of a soap and water mixture may cause a corrosive reaction to the CNG fuel system and is not recommended.

If a leak is suspected at a fuel tube, a fuel tube fitting or fuel system component, obtain a commercially available air leak detection fluid. When inspecting for leaks, be sure fuel is under operating pressure. Apply a generous amount of leak detector fluid to the suspected leak area. Watch the area for approximately 3 to 5 minutes. In most cases, if there is a leak, a steady flow of bubbles will appear from the leak source. Refer to the appropriate Service Information for repair procedures.
