Rail, Fuel: Installation: Installation

- Clean any dirt/debris from top of intake manifold and bottom of fuel rail.
- Install fuel rail (11). Tighten bolts (12) to 24 N.m (18 ft. lbs.).CAUTION:
WHEN LOOSENING OR TIGHTENING HIGH-PRESSURE LINE FITTINGS (11) ATTACHED TO A SEPARATE FITTING (12), USE A BACK-UP WRENCH ON FITTING (12). DO NOT ALLOW FITTING (12) TO ROTATE. DAMAGE TO BOTH FUEL LINE AND FITTING WILL RESULT.
- Install the fuel tubes. Refer to TUBE(S), FUEL, INSTALLATION .
- Connect the fuel pressure sensor harness connector (2).
- Install the fuel tube silencer.
- Install the CCV oil drains hose (2) to cylinder head cover.
- Connect both fuel injector harness connectors (1).
- Connect the crankcase pressure sensor 1 wire harness connector (7).
- Connect the crankcase pressure sensor 2 wire harness connector (1).
- Connect the EGR cooler bypass valve wire harness connector (1).
- Connect the exhaust pressure sensor wire harness connector (2).
- Position the bulk head connector (1) and install a new cable tie to secure.
- Connect both negative battery cables.
- Prime the fuel system. Refer to FUEL SYSTEM PRIMING - DIESEL .
- Start engine and check for leaks.
- Install the engine cover (2) and fasteners (1, 4).
- Install the oil dipstick (3).
