Left Side Positive

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable (3).
  2. Remove nut (7) and the wire harness (8).
  3. Remove nut (6) and the positive battery cable (9) from clamp (5).
  4. Disconnect the battery positive cable terminal clamp (5) from battery.

  5. Disconnect the wire harness retainer (3) at the Power Distribution Center (PDC).
  6. Remove nut (2) and the cable (1) from the PDC.
  7. Disconnect the battery cable retaining pushpin securing the cable to the battery tray.

  8. Raise the vehicle on a hoist. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  9. Lift the terminal cap from the starter stud.
  10. Remove the nut (2) securing the B+ cable to the
  11. Disconnect starter solenoid wire harness connector (3).
  12. Lower the vehicle.
  13. Disconnect any remaining pushpin's securing the cable to the vehicle.
  14. Remove the battery positive cable from the vehicle.
