Manifold, Intake: Installation: Installation

  1. Clean all gasket mating surfaces.
  2. Using a new gasket, install the intake manifold (2). Tighten bolts to 24 N.m (18 ft. lbs.).
  3. Install bolt securing the oil dip stick tube-to-intake manifold and tighten to 24 N.m (18 ft. lbs.).
  4. Install cylinder No. 1 fuel tube. Refer to TUBE(S), FUEL, INSTALLATION .

  5. Connect the EGR valve wire harness connector.
  6. Connect EGR air flow control valve wire harness connector (2).
  7. Install the Charge Air Cooler (CAC) hose (3) to the EGR air flow control valve. Tighten clamp (1) to 14 N.m (124 in. lbs.).
  8. Install the EGR crossover tube. Refer to TUBE, EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION (EGR), CROSSOVER, INSTALLATION .
  9. Connect both negative battery cables.
