Seal, Crankshaft Oil, Front: Removal: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate both negative battery cables.
  2. Remove the engine timing cover (2). Refer to COVER(S), ENGINE TIMING, REMOVAL, 6.7L .

  3. Support the engine timing cover on a flat work surface with wooden blocks, and using a suitable punch (1) and hammer, drive the old seal (2) out of the cover from the front side of the cover to the back side.
