Cylinder Head Cover

NOTE:
Gasket must be completely dry and free of oil before installation. Pneumatic tools should NOT be used to remove or install the cover.
- Clean all the gasket sealing surfaces. Refer to ENGINE GASKET SURFACE PREPARATION .
- Inspect cylinder head cover gasket (2) for tears, or splits. Replace if necessary.
- If removed, install the cylinder head cover gasket (2) on the rocker box. Tighten the fuel injector wire harness nuts (1) to 1.50 N.m (13 in. lbs.).
- If removed, connect both fuel injector wire harness connectors (1).
NOTE:
Pneumatic tools should NOT be used to remove or install the cover.
- Install the cylinder head cover (2). Tighten bolts (1) from the center out to 24 N.m (18 ft. lbs.).
- Install the Close Crankcase Ventilation (CCV) drain tubes (3) to the cylinder head cover (4).
- Install the crankcase breather and CCV cover (4). Refer to SYSTEM, CLOSED CRANKCASE VENTILATION (CCV), INSTALLATION .
- Connect the crankcase pressure sensor 2 wire harness connector (1).
- Connect the crankcase pressure sensor 1 wire harness connector (7).
- Install the engine cover (2) and fasteners (1, 4).
- Install the engine oil dipstick.
- Connect both negative battery cables.
- Start the vehicle and check for leaks.
