Solenoid, Variable Valve Timing (VVTS), Exhaust: Removal: Removal

  1. Remove intake manifold. Refer to MANIFOLD, INTAKE, CNG , REMOVAL, 5.7L .
  2. Disconnect VVTS electrical connector (2).
  3. Remove VVTS fastener (1).

    NOTE:

    To remove the VVTS, the engine must be at room temperature.

  4. Rotate and pull the VVTS out.
