Section 266 (Charging System (Service Information) 1500): Generator: Installation: 3.6L

  1. Position the generator into the vehicle.
  2. Install the upper bolt (1).

    Tighten to 25 N.m (18 Ft. Lbs.).

  3. Install the lower bolt (1) and upper nut (3).

    Tighten to 25 N.m (18 Ft. Lbs)

  4. Install the serpentine belt. Refer to BELT, SERPENTINE, INSTALLATION .

  5. Install the B+ terminal to the generator stud.

    Tighten to 11 N.m (97 In. Lbs.).

  6. Plug in the field circuit to the generator.
  7. Connect the negative battery cable.
