- Perform the TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to 66RFE TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Go To 4
- TRS SIGNAL CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND
- Measure the resistance between ground and the noted (T41, T42, T3, T1 or T2) TRS Signal circuit. Check for continuity between ground and the noted (T41, T42, T3, T1 or T2) TRS Signal circuit at the Transmission Solenoid/TRS Assembly harness connector.
Is there continuity between ground and the noted (T41, T42, T3, T1 or T2) TRS Signal circuit?
Yes
- Repair the noted (T41, T42, T3, T1, or T2 (C1-C5) TRS Signal circuit for a short to ground.
- Perform the TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to 66RFE TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Go To 5
- Measure the resistance between ground and the noted (T41, T42, T3, T1 or T2) TRS Signal circuit. Check for continuity between ground and the noted (T41, T42, T3, T1 or T2) TRS Signal circuit at the Transmission Solenoid/TRS Assembly harness connector.
- TRS SIGNAL CIRCUIT SHORT TO OTHER CIRCUITS
- Measure the resistance between the noted (T1, T2, T3, T41, or T42) TRS Signal circuit and all other circuits in the Transmission Solenoid/TRS Assembly harness connector. Check for continuity between the noted (T1, T2, T3, T41, or T42) TRS Signal circuit and all other circuits at the Transmission Solenoid/TRS Assembly harness connector.
Is there continuity between the noted (T1, T2, T3, T41, or T42) TRS Signal circuit and any other circuit?
Yes
- Repair the noted (T41, T42, T3, T1, or T2 (C1-C5) TRS Signal circuit for a short to another circuit.
- Perform the TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to 66RFE TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Go To 6
