Diagnostic Test

CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC
1. With the scan tool, read DTCs and record on the repair order, then erase DTCs.
2. Insert a good, clean, unscratched music CD, programmed for the proper region, into the EDM.
3. Turn the radio and EDM on.
4. With the scan tool, read DTCs.
  Did the DTC return?
  
  Yes
  - Go To 2
  No
  - Test Complete.
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
VERIFY THAT THE EDM REGION IS PROGRAMMED CORRECTLY
1. With the scan tool, verify that the EDM is programmed for the proper region and update as necessary in accordance with the Service Information.
2. With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
3. Turn the ignition off for at least 10 seconds, then turn the ignition on.
4. Turn the radio and EDM on.
5. With the scan tool, read DTCs.
  Did the DTC return?
  
  Yes
  - Eject the CD and replace the External Disc Module (EDM) in accordance with the Service Information.
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Test Complete.
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
